Here we have a real deal Philip Kubicki EX Factor bass, not a Fender version. This bass has been played , which is clearly demonstrated by the honest mojo you see in the pics. Again, NOT a Fender relic job. The bass plays and sounds great , lots of life in the frets. Thank the bass’ current owner for the wisdom to have this bass properly tuned up by the builder.

Back in 2010 Mr.Kubicki went over this bass very thoroughly to make it 100% “right ” . Please see the pic of the receipt listing this work.

Further back around 1985 I could have purchased an Ex Factor 5 string in Ferrari Red for $700 on the last day of the NAMM show – IF only I had the dough ! Same show, I could have bought a Fodera Monarch 4 for $700 but guess what ? Now you’ve got me going…..woulda , coulda , shoulda.

The point is, this bass is a very early example , made by Mr. Kubicki and fully serviced by the man himself 3 years ago. You may not think it is pretty , but I assure you, it is a fine bass.
