We offer to you this stunning LeFay 4 string bass, from German luthier Reiner Dobbratz.
This is my first experience with a LeFay, and I am impressed. It has a unique style, proprietary Rough Crystal stacked humbucking pickups, and a Rough Crystal 3 band preamp.
The main section of the body is actually the top, which is made of Figured Cherrywood. The headstock veneer is matching Cherry The back is Flamed Maple. The 34″ scale neck is made of Padauk with Flamed Maple runners, and the fretboard is 2 piece Flamed Maple. Dig that Ebony binding on the fretboard! The neck is lightning fast with very low action.
The electronics are very versatile; volume, blend, 3 band EQ and a rotary 6 position pickup selector. From rumble bass to shimmering highs, all without noise.
The hardware is black; tuners by Schaller and the bridge is by ETS. This bass is fully warrantied by Reiner Dobbratz and is only about 6 weeks young (made mid January, 2003).
