New from my buddy, Pete Hanewinckel , we offer this Signature 5 GST in the Fusion body style. The body is Mahogany, with an Ash mid lam topped by the most gorgeous piece of Shedua I can recall seeing. The headstock has a veneer of Shedua both front and rear.

The 9 piece 34″ scale set neck is made of primarily Maple, with laminates of Purpleheart. Walnut and Maple. The fretboard is wenge.

By the way – the ‘”GST” in the name refers to the fact that the neck is set into the body, glued in and and screwed in as well. Pete is really excited by this new method he is using – he feels it combines the best features of bolt-on and neck-thru design. Lots of fundamental ( a neck-thru trait ) and plenty of mid and hi frequesncy info (a la bolt-on). I cannot prove this theory, but this bass is indeed alive with the sound of…….bass.

Also new from Pete are the wooden control knobs.

NOTE – we will be switching out the hardware to gold – I think that will look best with the beautiful woods on this bass.

Pickups and preamp are by Bartolini , with the 18V preamp offering 3 bands of EQ and a 3 position mid-freq selector.
