Description
This is Gerald Marleaux’s latest masterpiece bass , just in ( for a moment ) from the NAMM Show.
- Chestnut core
- Flame Maple top and back
- 34″ scale 3 piece Maple neck with stringers
- Birdseye Maple finger board , 19mm string spacing
- The BC-4 preamp , a versatile tone machine that is easy tweaked via dip switches on back of the bass
- Two Custom Marleaux pickups
- Gig bag
Some years Mike Pope provided LAG with his 4 band , still a fine preamp. Then came Audere , even Music Man on the Bongo.
I have been a proponent / fan of the 4 band EQ ( with two switchable mid bands ) since my first Glockenklang Bass Art head in the late ’90’s. For me , this is where the bass’ tone is refined and defined. This is the where the “cut” is found.
Nice bass
