This bass is unusual in that it sports a lightning quick 31″ scale neck.
Back in the day , such basses as the Gibson EB3 and the semi-hollow counterpart EB2, had 30.5 ” necks , a big ole pickup at the end of the fretboard, and sometimes a second pickup near the bridge.
They play easily , but can be muddy or boomy. This bass , even in passive mode, is quick and articulate , the lows are tight and focused. Too easy, but I’ll take it.
The preamp is Marleaux’s exclusive Programmable Preamp. With this preamp, you can set up one EQ setting that is different than your live EQ. Call up the stored setting for a solo , or a vastly different voice. The preamp sounds great when paired with the Delano humbuckers.
