Description
Here we have a brand new CBII from one of our very favorite builders. The ChamberBrase’s semi-acoustic design creates a rich tone that surrounds a strong fundamental. I own one , and I have three more on order for the shop. Ken has become increasingly busy over the last few years making mostly guitars with small numbers of basses in the mix. He takes a very limited number of new orders in January of each year until he reaches a manageable number of new orders. Build time is typically 15-24 months, so…………………………..wait till next January and add 1.5-2.0 years build time, or……………………………………you can place a deposit on our reserved build slots and without cutting in line significantly reduce your wait time.
The example we see here us a newly created order that was just delivered to a friend in Memphis , and we post it here for your viewing pleasure.
Our “on order” ChamberBrase II basses , most with some spec choices still open , are
1) 6 / 33″ Fretless , figured Myrtle over Alder, an Eastern Maple neck with a Gabon Ebony unlined fretboard
2) 5 / 34″ Blackened Redwood over Alder with Eastern Maple neck with Indian Rosewood fretboard with Ebony binding and pickup covers ( ON HOLD )
3) 5 / 34″ Premium Cocobolo over Alder , Northeastern Ash neck with Indonesian Ebony fretboard
Truly , these basses are lifetime keepers in my book – so unique in tone and appearance, with unmatched playability.
IF you do not yet know Ken’s work and IF ever you come across one of his basses – take the opportunity to play that bass – my words will pale in comparison.
