Description
Like new ( 2012 ) from the Fender Custom Shop, the closet classic shoes finish checking but none of the open wounds you see on their relic series. The Jazz Bass was introduced in 1960, and thru 1961 this bass featured stacked volume and tone controls per pickup. In 1962 they switched to the much more familiar vol/vol/tone setup. I ask, why the change ? The stacked setup seem more versatile to me , but then I never met a knob or switch I did not want to tweak.
Black basses are very difficult ( for me anyway ) to phootgraph accurately, and some of what you see in these pics are reflections and glare.
