Description
I am once again able to offer this fine solid body example of Ken Lawrence’s craftsmanship and artistry. The Brase I is called the “open” Brase for the obvious reason -the Brase II is the more common “closed” design.
Just the facts:
- 35″ scale
- 3 piece Maple neck
- Katalox fretboard
- Abalone block inlays
- Myrtle top
- Ash body
- 9.4lbs
- high gloss finish
- Custom Duncan pickups and preamp with volume, blend, 3 band EQ, true bypass switch, mid scoop (volume up)
- Form fit OHSC
This 2000 build is in exceptionally fine condition – the previous owner took great care of this bass. The bass plays very easily – I can hear the 35″ scale, but it feels more like a 34″. An illusion? Maybe a delusion, but I like it!
A new build like this, ordered today, would have at least a one year wait and the price would be in the area of $7K. Mr. Lawrence is one the very vest builders working today, I kid you not.I urge you too seize this rare opportunity.
