    "TBYB"

Most of the basses you see here you will not see just about anywhere else
The builders of LAG make very few basses per year, so they are not commonly found.
How can I expect anyone to buy a bass they have not tried ?
Look above to the TBYB and Buy/Sell Plan box to find out how to try our basses without risk.

  • What I’m Digging

Well, the Barcelona VI MIDI has been sold, but I am fortunate that
this 5 string version has just come in.
The aforementioned 6 was tuned EADGCF ( or sometimes EADGBE ) and
those tunings are a lot of fun,
as long we remember that we are bass players.
Remember , it's not what you got, it's how you use it.
The lesson here - be creative as hell, but respect your guitarists' space.

THIS example is tuned the standard BEADG.
As with all basses , you really need to tweak your amps' input level
    to maximize the bass' responsiveness.
The Barcelona is a passive bass, so I boost the input a bit and
VOILA ! - the notes jump off the fretboard.
This is a very dynamic bass that reacts quickly to a nuanced playing
    style - AKA" touch".
I do not recall a passive bass that has such a variety of tones via a
simple 2 pickup , Volume , Blend, and Tone layout.
The neck pickup is Jerzy's true dual coil design and the bridge is his split single.
A sweep through the blend reveals a broad tonal range from thick
round bass to a very quick attack mode.

There are only about 10-12 Barcelona basses in existence right now ,
so I cannot suggest you go to your local bass shop to try one. But, as
with all of our basses , we do offer a trial period so you
can test any bass in your music environment.
Home, studio, gig - play the bass through your rig, where you play ,
to really from an appreciation and understanding of the bass.

BTW, we will have fretless version of this bass here later this year.
