Q: Where is your shop?
A: In Alboussiére.
Q: When did you start building basses?
A: I make my first bass, when I was 15 years.
Q: When did you officially go into business?
A: 2006
Q: How many instruments have you made to date?
A: Approximately 100 basses.
Q: How many did you make in 2012?
A: 25 instruments
Q: Do you play any instruments?
A: Yes, I play electric bass.
Q: Why / when should a player consider a custom bass?
A: I think that a musician has to find out someone who can make the instrument he needs whenever stores do not propose to him the instrument he’s looking for. We can also wish someone to make “the instrument of our dreams”, being able to choose the type of wood, the micros, the electronic.
Q: What would you like to tell players about yourself or your basses?
A: My basses are totally handcrafted. Each part of the instrument I make is so important to me that I really take care of it. I spent a lot of time to develop my own preamps to make as much as possible multi-purpose basses.
Q: What would you like to tell players about yourself or your basses?
A: Being in contact with the musician let me work on the esthetics and the tone the musician is looking for. The greatest satisfaction for a luthier is to be able to create the instrument that musicians need.
